The answer is yes, you absolutely can.

Our PDU outlet boxes are designed with multiple safety features that make them suitable for outdoor use, even in snowy conditions.

1. They feature GFCI outlets.

- A GFCI, or ground-fault circuit interrupter, helps protect you from electrical shock by shutting off power if it detects an imbalance in electrical current.

2. They come with plug covers.
 

- Any outlet that isn’t in use should always remain covered to help prevent moisture from getting inside.

3. The sealed body design.


 - Our PDU outlet boxes are fully sealed around the housing, which is why they’re rated for outdoor use.

 

That said, when it’s actively snowing, it’s important to take a few extra precautions.

Make sure your plug is fully inserted and flush with the outlet.

And if you’re only using one outlet, use a protective outlet cover on the unused one to keep snow and moisture out.
