Tips From Tony When talking about the different NEMA configurations, it is important to remember what P and R stand for. P will always stand for the male plug side, while R will always stand for the female receptacle. P and R can never be used for opposite ends, and they don't stand for anything else.

If we mention "wired specifically for Tesla usage" in our EV adapter listings, we mean it. These EV adapters cannot be used for anything else. It is not possible to power RVs, dryers, or other equipment with our gray EV adapters. Chances are they will match the NEMA configurations you are trying to adapt to, but you can only charge Tesla vehicles with them.

TIPS FROM TONY There is a distinct difference between a NEMA L14-30 and NEMA L14-20 generator outlet. The grounding pin for each has a slight “hook.” For the L1420, that hook goes outward. For the L1430, that hook goes inward.
