Here is the first edition of AC WORKS™ Wisdom! When trying to decide what kind of electrical adapter or electrical cable you need, it is important to understand NEMA configurations. Each male plug and female connector has a unique pin configuration and abilities. These were laid out in a chart by the National Electrical Manufacturers Association. The plugs and connectors are designed for use with 3, 4 or 5 conductor cables with a diameter from .375’’ to 1.56” (12/3 SJ through 8/5 S). 2.
